The Sprint Series Adventure Race in Batemans Bay is a four-hour team event starting at Jack Buckley Memorial Park in Tomakin, on the NSW South Coast. Teams of two navigate between checkpoints using running, mountain biking, and kayaking. The standard course covers approximately 5-7 km on foot, 15 km by bike, and 5 km in the kayak. A shorter novice course reduces this to a 3 km run, 8-10 km bike, and 2 km paddle. A duathlon option is also available for teams wishing to omit the kayak leg.
The route remains undisclosed until race morning, when participants receive maps and use a compass for navigation. The terrain may involve river paddling, trail running on 4WD tracks, and mountain biking on singletrack and 4WD trails. Beaches and waterways near Batemans Bay significantly influence the course. The race welcomes participants of all fitness levels; children over ten can compete with an adult. Kayak equipment is provided with entry, and mountain bike hire can be arranged.
